Quick Garlic Butter Salmon (Baked)

Prep time: 10 mins | Cook time: 15 mins | Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped

  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

  • Optional: 1 bunch of asparagus spears (for baking alongside)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven & Pan: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with a little oil or cooking spray.

  2. Arrange: Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with a paper towel and place them skin-side down in the baking dish. If you are adding asparagus, tuck the spears right in around the fish.

  3. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  4. Sauce it Up: Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, using a brush or spoon to make sure they are completely coated.

  5. Bake: Pop the dish into the oven and bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets. The salmon should flake easily with a fork when done.

  6. Finish and Serve: Remove from the oven and immediately spoon those delicious pan juices back over the top. Garnish generously with the fresh parsley and chives. Serve hot!
