One Pot Garlic Parmesan Pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
4 cups chicken broth
1 (16-ounce) box penne pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and penne pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 12-15 minutes, or until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Remove from heat and stir in chopped fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.
